We, the royal court, present to you Volume 11 of main squeeze, filled with jests, jousts, and John Paul! our decree incudes an abundance of deer, corn husk art, twin statues, some sweet California loving, Lana Del Rey, and lots of pieces that are sure to make you “Huzzah!”

Welcome back to Main Squeeze – we present Volume 10, filled with poems, stories, and artwork from 33 contributors! This year we asked for urban graffiti and gut punches, and our writers and artists delivered. Volume 10 features a wrestler’s quest for redemption, a terrifying yet beautiful ceramic mask, BREASTS!, queer love, dead deer, giant foreheads, Ben Shapiro’s struggles at the grocery store, a fever dream about Nicholas Cage, bees (unrelated), and so much more. Enter at your own risk, for once you begin to read, there’s no turning back!

The Main Squeeze team is thrilled to present forty-six pieces in Volume 9 that awed us, dazed us, made us jump up from our seats or lay on the floor (sometimes both). From the visual arts of photography, collage, and physical and digital drawing to the writing arts of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction that eagerly avoid strict definition, the writing in this issue embraces everything language is and isn’t, to its vague divinity and sharp disregularity, the space it takes up in the mouth as well as the mind. These pieces speak to each other, to the object of art itself, and connect to the electric thread that is being alive.

Main Squeeze staff is honored to show the works of authors and artists who collectively show the ineffable breadth of this cherished responsibility we have on earth: to produce as much art as possible. Some of these works have suffered interdimensional voyages and were spliced between the cosmos, thus appearing so absent. Some were written under gallows, on top of numerous bison, papers thrown into inbox seconds before the end of the world. You ever seen relentless verse shoveled into the hungry air? We still love you.

Published during the COVID-19 pandemic, this issue of Main Squeeze offers 25 delightful pieces from 16 authors. Delivering many works across genre and medium, this issue includes the first video entry to be published in Main Squeeze.

Though the pandemic continued to pose challenges to the process, we managed to triumph and put forth this issue.

From all us here at Main Squeeze, thank you and enjoy!

Featuring 28 works by 17 talented authors and artists, the planning, editing, and organization of this 2021 edition was done remotely. While a new experience for everyone involved, our goal to publish a volume of engaging, thoughtful, and fun work never wavered.
