Your birthday present makes more of an impression on the
grown-ups.

Everyone agrees on the reason you’re so upset.

Your teenage lie gets out of hand.

Some things can’t be reckoned with.

Repetition.

We understand that we are so separate we feel the need for a common culture.

Big Personalities.

Times of closeness, fossilised in the remembering, when you’re all open to each other’s story at the same time and you feel that

you are loved.
