Chapman

i am the old man 
on the bus with the bike tire
playing on my iPad like i am a child
this is regression 
i am a descendant of Johnny Appleseed
Chapman follows me everywhere 
my great grandmother 
sends me a 50 dollar check 
every year on my birthday 
i have never sent a letter back 
but i keep every card in a box
one day i will send her a poem 
to make up for lost time
